About Me

 I'm Ashley, a twenty-something mom of four who loves to crochet! As a self-proclaimed geek and gamer, I love designing crochet pieces inspired by pop culture. Everything else is usually a request from or for one of my kids.

When I'm not crocheting, I'm drinking Dr. Pepper or doing laundry, only one of which I actually enjoy doing. My second favorite hobby is sewing, and I adore all things Christmas.

I have been crocheting for most of my life. My mom taught me when I was 8, and I've crocheted off and on through my younger years. After I had my first baby, I started crocheting ALL THE THINGS. (Or what felt like all the things.) My favorite things to make for my kids are hats!

I started designing patterns in 2015, but only wrote down two of them. I started seriously designing in 2019 when my oldest daughter asked for a Magikarp hat like in Pokemon Go!

As a kid, I remember most of the patterns we had were for doilies--my mom and grandma crocheted a lot of beautiful doilies--or were very basic. Great for learning, but not great for maintaining the interest of an 8-year-old.

With the advent of Pinterest and being inspired by other crochet blogs sharing fun, new patterns, I want to join in and make crocheting more than just an "old lady hobby!"
